How to Prepare for Your Magical Princess Party

Complete Your Questionnaire

The questionnaire that will be emailed to you shortly after reserving your date is full of valuable information that we need to know in order to give you the most amazing princess party possible. You’ll need to give us your party details as soon as you have them nailed down so we can start planning! Let us know the date and time of your event, where it’s being held, which princess you’ve selected, and any further information you’d like us to know about your party or your child. We know filling this out won’t be the most fun task, but it’s incredibly important to us that we get things perfect for you, so please complete your questionnaire as early as possible!

Design the Invitations

Your invitations are usually your guests’ first indication of what to expect at your party! That means it’s super important to give them all the basic details they need to know, as well as a little taste of your party theme to get the kids excited! Make sure to include your party date, time, and address, as well as a phone number or email to RSVP. The fun part is deciding what you want them to look like. You can get the classic fill-in-the-blank invitations from your local party supply store, or you can go all-out on customized or personalized invitations from online shops. Not sure what colors or designs to use? Look to your princess visitor’s signature colors as a great starting point.

Decorate Your Kingdom

Your little girl will be delighted to find her home has been transformed into a magical kingdom for her special day. You can decorate elaborately or simply; whichever you think your child will love the most. It’s always a magical idea to use your princess guest’s colors and backstory as your design inspiration to make for a cohesive party environment. Nautical elements and serene colors are perfect for an Ariel party, and greens and browns with bows and arrows make for excellent Merida decor. You can easily find party basics, like balloons, streamers, plastic tablecloths, and confetti in your chosen hues at party supply stores. Need more inspiration? Check out party blogs, social media, or magazines for more ideas.

Pick Our Party Favors

Traditionally, party favors are small tokens of gratitude given out to your child’s friends at the end of the party. They are usually small and inexpensive, but they make the kids receiving them feel special and appreciated. When you have a princess party, there are tons of options if you want to give out favors that match the theme of the event. Magic wands, crowns, and costume jewelry are great small gifts to give your guests. If you want to do something else, you can stick with classic options like treats bags full of candy, stickers, or baked goods. You can include a short handwritten note from your child for a sweet touch.

Remind Your Guests About the Princess

Princess parties are a perfect opportunity for kids to dress up in their favorite fairytale costumes! A great way to get the other parents to send their kids in costume is remind the parents that it’s a princess party and that a real princess will be there. Even if you don’t want or expect the kids to dress up, letting the other parents know about the princess is a good idea. This way, they can prepare their children for a new person and every child can warm right up to their new fairytale friend!
